She has been instrumental in obtaining numerous settlements and jury awards on behalf of her clients, including two settlements for victims of clergy abuse for $10 million and $9.5 million and a $1.1 million arbitration award for the breach of the non-monetary commitments found in those agreements. She has been successful in matters against the Catholic Church, federal government agencies, police departments, schools and municipalities.  

Attorney Tahira Khan Merritt has devoted her career entirely to helping victims of sexual abuse and their families, both in Texas and across the entire nation. She and her team handle matters exclusively related to civil lawsuits against organizations and institutions that have allowed sexual abuse to occur and then attempted to cover it up.
